Coagulation Testing: More Than Just a Blue Top

Originally from Brooklyn NY, Valerie earned her associate degree in Veterinary Technology at Manor College. In 2011, Valerie was accepted into the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians & Nurses (AVECCTN), earning her VTS title.  Later, Valerie went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership at CSU-Global while developing training and retention programs for her hospital. She has spent much of her career working in veterinary ER/ECC with the last few years focused on leadership and development. Recently she has re-focused her attention on credentialing and academic programs. Valerie has served on the NJVTA board throughout her career, last as vice president and now as incoming treasurer.

Additionally, Valerie enjoys mentoring and coaching veterinary technicians toward their academic and professional goals.  She is a passionate RECOVER certified instructor and Fear Free Elite Professional. Valerie has had the honor of lecturing and publishing at local, national, and international conferences. She enjoys speaking on evidence-based medicine, CPR, metabolic disorders, advanced critical care, training, and leadership topics.
